NOTO FARMHOUSE

The homes Le Casuzze and La Balza are located on a chain of hills behind the Sicilian town of Noto - with a wide view of the town and the sea.

La Casuzze is a holiday home for seven people. It was built from the stones of the previous buildings. The three bedrooms (each with bathroom en suite) stand where the stables used to be; the living room replaces the old house. The kitchen was positioned in the former gap between the buildings. The rooms can be entered from the outside, but are connected to each other on the inside - this creates a sequence of rooms from the bedrooms to the kitchen to the living room. This is followed by the terrace and a little off the square pool, which is modeled on an antique water reservoir. From the roof terrace you can look far over the Mediterranean maquis.

The house La Balza is also located on the extensive Grunstrück - an old stable that was redesigned with metal and glass elements into a loft-like holiday home for two people. The old walls were preserved and now separate the living, sleeping and bathroom areas. In front of you is an open room with a large glass front and a view of your own swimming pool.
