The monumental baroque Dornburg Castle is located in the immediate vicinity of the Elbe River, at the junction of the A2 and A14 freeways. Situated a little to the west of the village of Dornburg, the exterior of the site can certainly tell a story of a historically isolated location. Inside, on three floors, an almost infinite number of rooms offer charmingly unmodernized sets for filming historical and contemporary material in equal measure, and various genres can be realized. The size of the object also allows for the temporary establishment of production offices and overnight accommodation can be provided. The state capital Magdeburg is only a 35-minute drive away and offers the entire infrastructure of a large city.
