This marvellous castle located in the centre of Germany, also known as the Crypto castle today, features a unique combination of Baroque and Renaissance style that has been preserved to this day. It is over a 1000 years old and one of the most well looked after buildings in the Saxon-Anhalt region.
The castle has 18 bedrooms, 4 floors, including a ballroom, a cellar and a basement. A courtyard and an Italian terrace overlook the gardens and the ruins of an old tea house, which is part of the “Historical parks in Anhalt” adorned by 11 stone figures resembling gods, goddesses and mythical creatures (Sculpted by Joseph Blühme in 1726-291), the castle maintains it's royal look and feeling partly due to the various owners including princes and emperors it has had in the past.
Many of the rooms have blue and white pastel coloured walls or passionate red and gold tones and lots of the paintings and stucco pieces still remain on the altbau ceilings.
It can be booked from 3 hours (for meetings) up to 3 months for all kinds of productions, retreats, events and festivals. In the last couple of years to name a few, crypto conferences and festivals like Utopia and Hedone have taken place here.
Available for photoshoots and film productions, it's also an exclusive location for all kinds of events!
