They still exist in Berlin: large, fascinating industrial areas that have been slumbering for years and are waiting for a new use. One of these places is this former distillery in Reinickendorf, on the border to Mitte and Pankow.
The "Federal Monopoly Administration for Spirits" was once located here. Now an association of entrepreneurs has formed to fill this place with new life. Over the next few years, a campus is to be created where people and companies come together to jointly shape the future of the food industry, to research new digital technologies and to create spaces for artistic perspectives.
Even during the planning phase, the place is open to co-creation, where neighbors, Berliners and people from all over the world come together to share, grow and shape together.
