Pattscheid station looks back on a history of over a hundred years. Built as a commercial station, it was in operation from 1902 to 1991 on the Opladen-Remscheid-Lennep line. After the closure of the "Balkan Express", the station lay fallow for a long time. In 1998, the illbruck company acquired the station and its grounds and renovated the building in accordance with the principles of historic preservation.
With great effort, the exterior of the station was restored to its original state - even the old station clock is running again - while inside the building, visitors encounter a successful combination of original and modern architecture as well as advanced technology. Today, the station is used as a meeting and conference center for illi & Compagnie companies.
The station is owned by illi & Compagnie and is not open to the public, but can be rented for advertising, film and TV productions.
