About
-
This museum, built in 1905 by renowned architect Nicolaus Hartmann, is an outstanding example of traditional Engadin architecture nestled in the Swiss Alps. Designed to replicate a historic Engadin home, it features original rooms and furnishings collected by founder Riet Campell—offering an immersive look into Alpine life from the 15th to 19th century.
Inside, richly paneled wooden interiors, intricately carved ceilings, green ceramic stoves, and antique furniture create a cinematic, time-traveling atmosphere. These authentically preserved settings are ideal for film productions, photography shoots, editorial projects, and cultural event backdrops. Several rooms also lend themselves beautifully to private talks, intimate concerts, or exclusive gatherings.
From stately parlors to rustic kitchens and historical sleeping quarters, each space tells a story. The museum’s exterior, framed by dramatic alpine scenery, adds further visual impact—whether bathed in summer light or blanketed in winter snow.
Whether you're planning a creative production, a special event, or a cultural experience, the Engadine Museum offers a rare and visually rich window into Switzerland’s historic mountain heritage.
