Nearly 20 years ago, a photographer and a stylist found this former three-sided Rieckshof farm in an absolute dream location. The farm has a long, wild history. Among other things, it was a Russian commandant's office after the Second World War.
The courtyard and the house were carefully renovated by the couple, but with both of them living and working in Paris, Berlin and New York for many years, it was only a refuge for holidays or weekends. Eventually, they decided to make the Uckermark their permanent home. This was the start of this project.
Over the past few years, a great team of architects, site managers and skilled workers from the surrounding area have carefully converted the former stable building into a spacious studio. The humble building, which used to be home to horses, cows and pigs, was to become an open space for rent for a variety of purposes: photo and film shoots, workshops, sophisticated retreats, co-working space, or just as a relaxation space.
Away from the village of Klosterwalde, surrounded by hilly meadows and situated on the edge of the forest, you will find yourself completely undisturbed in this little paradise. A large orchard with old trees invites you to read and dream.
On the ground floor, a large panorama window was cut into the outer wall, through which one can observe nature and the sunset. Here you will also find the open kitchen, the large communal table and the bathrooms. On rainy or cold days, underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove provide for pleasant hours.
In the attic, a "dormitory" can accommodate up to up to 6 persons in single or double beds. We have also set up two workstations with a magnificent view over the landscape.
And as remote as it may seem, it's only a 1.5 hour drive from Berlin Mitte!
