The owners turned what has once been the spa and sports hotel of the Austrian federal national bank, into a magical place where guests become friends during their stay. The idea was not to create a luxury hotel, but a second home for creative minds who can participate in an exchange during their holiday, get inspired and want to flourish. The old charm of the house should have been maintained as much as possible, in order to create a symbiosis of Bad Gastein’ s history and the new, creative world. To sum it up: take 50’s & 60s’s glamour with Bohéme-atmosphere and add Saarinen-desks, Bertoia-chairs and a glass of wine or Gin Tonic.
“The Bar is like an alpine movie set (…) It’s the heart of the house and a place, where you can stay the whole day.” – The Standard
