About
-
This multifaceted location in Berlin's Lichtenberg district is a well-preserved commercial and cultural area with buildings mostly from the 1950s and one new building. There are a wide variety of rooms, such as an original GDR bar, a functioning bowling alley, studios, car and carpentry workshops, sound studios, light-flooded old building rooms and the like. Before the fall of the Wall, the site was the hub of the "Transport Department" of the Central Committee of the SED.
The combination of historical architecture and exciting culture creates an interesting mix that is otherwise rarely found in this form.
