SECRET LISTING
About
-
The Zurich Mülligen mail center is the largest mail center in Switzerland. It was built in 1985 by the well-known architect Theo Hotz and converted into a mail processing center in 2008. For the past fifteen years, the building, which is over 300 meters long, has been listed by the Canton of Zurich (building worthy of protection). Every day, several million letters are processed on 14 kilometers of conveyor lines.
The building envelope with a facade area of 36,000 square meters is a curtain-type element construction in sandwich design. At the time, the aluminum facade was one of the first facades in Switzerland with a powder coating.
