The neo-baroque main telegraph office from 1916 has been dusted off and given a new lease of life over the past 10 years. The result is a boutique hotel with 97 rooms, restaurant, bar and two event spaces.
The multifunctional event space with a fully glazed roof allows an unobstructed view of the sky above Berlin, creating a unique lighting mood and atmosphere. Open steel beams and brick walls as well as fine oak parquet flooring and it’s adjoining rooms holds the perfect setting for events and productions of all kinds, seats 300 people and holds up to 1000 guests.
The later with its large floor-to-ceiling windows, listed brick walls and canopy ceilings offers an equal ideal setting holding up to 250 people.
The light-flooded maisonettes with floor-to-ceiling windows are also available for photo shoots and film productions. With 97 rooms in 7 categories from 21 to 140 m2 and a unique view of Monbijoupark, the TV Tower and the Red City Hall.
The architects and interior designers have won several design awards. Inspired by over a hundred years of history, design elements from the 1920s to the 1970s can be found both in the hotel rooms and in the rest of the building.
